This is one of those all round lures, fish it on a floating, intermediate or sinking line at various rates of retrieve and it will still catch. The cats whisker works superbly even when fished very slowly or even on the drop. The pattern is also available in a variety of colours from orange to black combo's.
Take the tying thread down the hook shank to a point opposite the barb.
Catch in a bunch of white marabou. Cut the ends so that they taper towards the eye and secure with thread.
Catch in a length of white cactus chenille and take the thread up 2/3 of the hookshank. Wind the chenille up to the hookshank to the thread position. (After each turn, brush the chenille backwards and then continue winding, this prevents the chenille fibres from being trapped after each turn).

Once up to the eye, strip some of the fibres from the chenille core and secure with thread.
Create a small neat head, Whip finish and varnish the head.
To trim the tail, grip the marabou fibres between your thumbnail and index fingernail and pull away, splitting the marabou fibres. The effect of this is far better than cutting the tail with scissors.
