Dunking Daddy Cranefly Fly Image

The Dunking Daddy also known as the Rubber Legged Daddy is a weighted subsurface fly. The Spanflex or Flexifloss legs give lots of movement which causes disturbance when pulled through the water. The fly can be tied with many colour combinations but I find the standard body and wing version with a mixture of olive colours for the legs works well. I always keep a few patterns with different leg lengths just in case. Best fished in Autumn through August and September when Daddie's or CraneFly are on the water.
