The Rutland Sparkler is extremely effective as a general lure pattern and as a fry imitation. This version of the fly comprises of a fluo green tag, Mosaic Frtiz body and Silver/Gold Crinkle flash used for the wing and tail. There are many different patterns at Rutland called the sparkler, patterns which have been developed and improved over decades as new hi-tech fly tying materials appear on the market. This is my favourite though.
