Blue Glitter Stalking Bug Fly Image

A true stalking bug, deadly when trout can be seen lying in clear water. Takes are signalled by the flash of a mouth or by the fish suddenly moving.


Tying Instructions

Wind the thread to a position mid way down the hook shank.

Wind some fine lead wire around the hookshank from the position opposite the barb to a position just short of the middle of the hook shank.

Catch in a small bunch of white deer hair, Secure with thread so that the deer hair stands almost vertical. Whip Finish the thread and trim waste.

Wind the lead through the deer hair and up to the eye. (The deer hair should protrude through the lead wire).

Cover the lead wire with two coats of blue glitter varnish.
